WHAT IS KOREAN NATURAL FARMING? Korean Natural Farming (KNF) takes advantage of indigenous microorganisms (IMO) (bacteria, fungi, nematodes and protozoa) to produce fertile soils that
yield high output without the use of herbicides or pesticides.[1] A result is improvement in soil health, improving loaminess, tilth and structure, and attracting large numbers of earthworms. KNF also enables odor-free hog and poultry farming without the need to dispose of effluent. This practice has spread to over 30 countries, and is used by individuals and commercial farms.[2] (Taken from Wikipedia)
James is the owner of Elizabeth Anna's Urban Farm and Garden in Fort Worth, Texas where he designs permaculture gardens, runs an urban CSA for his community and runs the nursery/lab where he utilizes permaculture and KNF principles. James has a BS and an MBA from Oregon State University and has a certification in Permaculture Design from the Australian Institute. James has been implementing permaculture design for urban and broad acre applications. Currently, he is incorporating into his expertise the methods of Korean Natural Farming. He has recently returned from a trip to Korea and desires to share Korean Natural Farming with as many farmers as possible. These methods, if used properly, provide amazing outcomes, using your own low-cost inputs gathered locally.
