GROW IT! is a monthly, hands-on course that gives you the knowledge, tips and tricks for serious backyard food using market gardening, permaculture and natural farming methods each month. Topics covered are
~vegetable garden design and placement
~soil and plant relationships
~strategies to build a healthy soil food web in an urban environment
~preparing garden beds
~natural farming with compost, teas, and worms
~ how to develop a gardening rhythm and schedule.
We will be utilizing Elizabeth's book as an outline of working with the seasons in North Texas and at the end of the each workshop you will go home with a new plant, handout and a wealth of knowledge and the confidence to implement what you know.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Kirsten is the owner of GTF and a certified permaculture designer. Over the past 11 years she has worked as a garden and farm educator in schools, as a farm and greenhouse manager and founded Good Tilth Farm and Nursery in 2015 to feed and teach people. Her roles at Elizabeth Ann's have ranged from greenhouse management, designer and in education and outreach.
